My Kids Try Out Bobbi-Toads Kids’ Shoes with Bobbi-Dobbiez Clip-On Stuffed Animals

As Labor Day Weekend began, a mysterious box had arrived at our door. Remembering that Bobbi-Toads had reached out to me the week before, offering to let my kids try out their brand of shoes, I decided to let him open their surprise right away.

The look on my daughter’s face makes it clear how excited to she was to get her surprise.

She got a pair of size 7 Pollipop Purple Panda shoes with matching Purple Panda Bobbi-Dobbiez, while my son got the 4 Boomz in size 3.

Once they both put on their new shoes, they instinctively began running across the house. I shot this little video to capture the action:

My daughter especially liked how the toes lit up in rainbow colors- and how she was able to attach her “baby bear” on to her shoes.

It is plain to see that my kids naturally loved receiving their new Bobbi-Toads and Bobbi-Dobbiez.

If you would like to buy some for your own kids, or maybe as a gift, here’s a link to check out their website:

Thanks for checking them out today!

Dear Holly: It’s Fun to Climb Ladders When You Shouldn’t

2 years, 4 months.

Dear Holly,

Over the weekend as we were in the process of repainting some of the rooms in our house, I didn’t realize that you were watching with great curiosity as Mommy and I took turns climbing the ladder, as we painted the higher parts of the walls near the ceiling.

So the first chance you got, you made your way over to the ladder and made it to the 3rd rung before announcing, “I climb!”

It’s fun to climb a ladder when you shouldn’t. You had the most fun, though, when Mommy helped you climb all the way to the top. You could have just hung out up there for an hour if you had the chance.

When you’re a bit older, we’ll be happy to let you climb that ladder and help with the painting!

Love,

Daddy

Dear Jack: Combining Beyblades and Jenga Blocks Was a Good Idea

7 years, 9 months.

I didn’t even know what a Beyblade was until about 2 weeks ago. But now you have 3 of them.

And this past weekend you literally spent hours spinning these little propelled tops across the kitchen floor, attempting to crash down Jenga towers that you would build.

It’s the kind of self-invented activity I love to see on a Sunday afternoon. And even when you finally got ready to change things up, you learned that the Jenga blocks make perfect dominoes.

Your sister even took notice and decided to make a bed for some of her smaller stuffed animals.

Good thing Mommy suggested you go through the closet and find a game to play. You made the original Jenga even better!

Dear Jack,

Love,

Daddy

With a 2 year-old daughter and a 2nd grader son, I know we are going to have a great time!

And for congratulations to Karen Stanley, who was the first person to leave a comment about Disney on Ice Frozen on the Facebook page for Family Friendly Daddy Blog. She won 4 complimentary tickets for her family to join us there.

Dear Jack: 2nd Grade is a Good Year for a Venus Fly Trap

7 years, 9 months.

Dear Jack,

I remember how exactly 30 years ago when I was in 2nd grade, I wanted and received a Venus Fly Trap. It’s the perfect science project/pet for a boy approaching his 8th birthday.

And the plant only cost us $5 at Kroger!

All last weekend, you enjoyed catching flies and small spiders to toss into the hungriest mouths of the Venus Fly Trap.

Something you taught me is that if any of the “heads” sets sick and turns brown, we can just got it off, and then a new one will grow back in its place!

That’s so fascinating. I had no idea.

I have my doubts about how long we’ll be able to keep the Venus Fly Trap alive, but for just 5 bucks, and with so much entertainment so far, I’d say this is been a great investment for a smart 2nd grade boy like yourself.

Love,

Daddy
