For the past month now, I’ve been writing about the wondrous experiences we had during our family vacation to San Diego; to see my wife’s youngest brother get married.
While my son, infant daughter, and wife serve as the main characters for all these stories, I have to admit that the vehicle we drove is technically a character in these stories as well.
Mitsubishi helped our family out tremendously by providing a 2016 Outlander (with a full tank of gas) for us to drive for the week. I had been reaching out for months to other car companies to sponsor our trip, but none of them were able to help us out, for various reasons.
I was so grateful to learn though, that Mitsubishi was happy to see their brand featured in our family’s fun adventures. Our trip would not have been the same in some random rental car, which we were prepared to commit to. The Outlander served as the perfect vehicle for our trip.
Amazingly, despite driving all across San Diego (America’s 8th largest city) for an entire week, I didn’t actually have to put any gas in the tank.
I did anyway, just to make sure I made it back to the airport, and as a courtesy.
But I find it amazing that the Outlander made it all that way on just one tank of gas!
My son’s personal favorite part of family having the Outlander was that he got to adopt the 3rd row seat as his own. Every time we stopped somewhere and I took out his sister’s stroller from the very back, he joyfully hopped out that way, as opposed to the side door near him.
And the same for when it was time to get back in- he loved climbing into the very back to return to his seat.
My wife was able to sit in the 2nd row with the baby, who often needed to be fed as we drove.
We easily fit everything we needed to in the cargo space. Our family is so grateful we had the Outlander for our trip!
