Review of Shaver 9700 Series 9000 Wet & Dry Electric Shaver by Philips Norelco

Here on Family Friendly Daddy Blog, you’ve probably noticed that for the past 2 weeks, I’ve done a post featuring a video which spotlights the Philips Norelco Shaver 9700.

Review of Shaver 9700 Series 9000 Wet & Dry Electric Shaver by Philips Norelco

First, the shaver showed up in the 2nd webisode of my superhero series, Jack-Man, as Jack-Man’s secret weapon to defeat the evil and stoic Bath-Man. That’s when my customized theme song for the 9700 was introduced:

“In your face!

9700

In your face!

You’ll be glad you found it

It cleans itself like a smart razor should

The percentage display shows the charge is still good

In your face!”

Then last week I debuted my unboxing of the Philips Norelco 9700, again featuring my theme song:

So this week, leading up to Father’s Day, I now share my review of the product; now that I’ve had a few weeks to really try it out.

My favorite part about the 9700 is how easily I can switch from the shaver heard to trimmer, and back; it just simply snaps off; using the SmartClick system. So perfect.

On any other electric razor I’ve owned, I always had to depend on that flimsy, awkward trimmer on the side of the shaver that would always fold in when I used it.

Not with the 9700; so easily I can switch back and forth.

I also love how the display screen shows you exactly what percentage charge remains. That’s awesome!

The last major thing I want to point out about the 9700 is how light it is. It’s the lightest I’ve ever had.

Beyond this, the 9700 also comes complete with its own self-cleaning station as well. And you can shave either wet or dry.

If you’re considering a very special Father’s Day gift, this could be the one.

I hope you’d enjoyed my review and my videos to go along with it. Thanks for reading and thanks for watching.

Dear Jack: Getting Ready For Your First Soccer Game

4 years, 4 months.

Hello Nick! We had lots of fun this week outside! Jack and his friends went on a pirate adventure around the playground. He rowed his boat over to skull rock island, climbed through his way through Vine snake jungle, then snuck up on the sleeping dragon to steal the magical fire rubies! (His face running away from the dragon was priceless!) Today we had a lot of different activities! He worked with friends to fold pieces of paper and build a tower. He was extremely proud of himself he built it up so high! His latest craze, is to write his name with “scary letters” They’re beyond amazing! He has such an artistic talent! And last but not least (We were busy today weren’t we!) we flew kites! We took out our parrot kite this morning. He asked to hold the kite and he tried to hold on very tight. Ultimately, the wind was a bit too strong and took the kite across the playground, across the street, and into the corn field! Thankfully Ms. Lara came to the rescue and retrieved our kite! This afternoon, everyone wanted to make their own kites and flew them outside! We had an absolute blast!

Dear Jack,

This Monday you had your first soccer practice… and this weekend you will have your very first soccer game! Pretty exciting stuff these days.

We bought you a soccer ball and have been practicing in the driveway. From these pictures your teacher sent me, it looks like you’re getting some good practice there as well.

Here’s what your teacher had to say about what you’ve been doing at school this week:

When I read this kind of stuff about you, it makes me so proud. I love your creativity. You are a bright young boy and I’m so glad your mine.

Dear Jack: Your Self-Assigned Lego Homework Project

4 years, 2 months.

Dear Jack: Your Self-Assigned Lego Homework Project

Dear Jack,

A week from today will be your last day at your preschool, with the big move into our new house being next weekend.

At night during dinner, all this week, you’ve been working on a special Lego plane. You instructed me to build something too, so I did.

Well, this morning you asked me to find a bag to put your plane in: The time had finally come to reveal your new creation to your friends and teachers at school.

So I found a Kroger bag and placed your plane inside it; keeping it up front with me in the car for the drive.

Once we arrived in your class room, you whispered to me, “Daddy, the plane.”

So I pulled the plane out and handed it to you.

Immediately, your friends ran over, crowding around you. They were sincerely and thoroughly impressed with your work.

“Wow, Jack! Is that Michelangelo in there driving it?” your friend Joshua asked.

Keep in mind, just a few weeks ago, you built that Lego hospital at school that all your friends protected.

I struggled to snap a few pictures of the event today, as it was truly a challenge for me to get a shot of you holding the plane without one of your friends blocking my view.

In the midst of all the I wanna see!’s from your friends, I realized that most them are a year older than you. They are 5; you are 4.

Witnessing this today made me sort of feel like the dad of Doogie Howser or something.

Even now, I’m thinking, “Man, my son diligently worked on a Lego plane that impressed his older friends. He must be a Lego prodigy… That’s pretty cool!”

Ultimately, this is one of those “dad moments” for me. I am proud of you, Son.

Love,

Daddy

Dear Jack: The Glory Of Classic American Holiday Sweaters

4 years, 1 month.

Dear Jack: The Glory Of Classic American Holiday Sweaters

Dear Jack,

I recently realized that of all people, I didn’t own an official holiday sweater. Seriously, I’m the epitome of dads who should own one!

A few days ago at work, my friend Sam walked in wearing a holiday sweater featuring two reindeer facing each other, with a giant snowflake in between them.

That’s the moment I became aware of my sweaterless condition.

Conveniently, the same day I received a gift card for Target. I was there for probably 30 minutes, not really impressed by any of their holiday sweaters; either too expensive or just not enough character.  But right as I officially gave up, I saw it…

A Captain America sweater! Seriously, how awesome is that?!

It couldn’t be more perfect.

Turns out, today at your school, KinderCare, it was “holiday sweater day.” So you got to wear your grumbly monster sweater, while I wore my new one as well.

Dear Jack: The Glory Of Classic American Holiday Sweaters

So now you and I are both set when it comes to owning that special token holiday sweater. Both of ours are funny, masculine, and awesome… to represent us, right?

I feel that little stories like these really help represent my pride as your dad. I love it that you enjoy making goofy selfies with me.

It’s so much fun to celebrate in stuff like this together with you. I keep reminding you that a year from now, the first of the new Star Wars movies will be in theatres and we’ll get to see it together. What a perfect time to be a little boy!

You’ve already expressed interest in Yoda.

And I think daily about how next summer, we get to camp out in the backyard of a new house, that we are scheduled to close on January 29th.

I like being your Daddy.

Love,

Daddy

It’s true. The American classic movie Christmas Vacation is now 25 years old!

Coincidentally, I just happened to come across this brand-new infographic Popular Gifts for Dad in the Last 25 Years.

My personally favorite gift is the one featured from 1995, as my pair of red shoes like that can be seen featured on the Facebook wall for Family Friendly Daddy Blog.

Enjoy.
