Dear Holly,

To a 2 year-old little girl, Minnie Mouse high tops are the perfect shoe choice for any occasion. If we’re going outside in the cul-de-sac to play with hula hoops, then you wear you them.

If it’s time to go to bed to sleep for the night, you wear them.

If Mommy has already dressed you in your sandals to match your dress before it’s time to take you to school, you wear your Minnie Mouse high tops anyway; because to me, it’s not worth the fight.

They’re the perfect shoes for you. They contain all the important elements:

They’re pink. They have bows on them. And most importantly, they have Minnie Mouse on them!

You are so eager to wear these shoes that most of the time, you are in such a rush that you refuse to even wear socks with them.

Personally, I would hate the though of wearing high tops, without socks, while running around outside or sleeping.

But those small details don’t bother you one bit.
