Dear Jack: Access to a Pet Bunny

14 years, 8 months.

Dear Jack,

Throughout your entire life, you have always been drawn to animals. You just seem to speak their language.

Your cousin Calla got a bunny named Hazel for her recent 14th birthday. Lucky for you, we live just down the street.

So that means for the rest of the summer, you get to hang out with Hazel whenever you feel like it.

It’s clear that Hazel likes you.

Not only do you do a great job keeping her entertained, but you help her get rest as well:

She fell asleep in your arms.

I love it that my sister has a bunny at her house… and that I don’t!

Love,

Daddy

Dear Jack: The Baby Bunny You Hand Tamed

11 years, 7 months.

Dear Jack,

I’d say by default, our family pretty much operates a bunny farm in our backyard. Like clockwork, all 7 years we’ve lived in this house, the bunnies start popping out a week before Easter.

A couple of weeks ago, after the bus picked up you and your sister for school, Mommy noticed a tiny little baby bunny in our front yard.

I was able to capture it with a bucket and take it to our backyard for safety, with the other bunny families; who live under our back deck.

By the time you got home from school that afternoon, you effortlessly were able to hand tame who we now call Bonnie the Bunny!

Love,

Daddy
