Dear Jack,

While your growing Nike collection is definitely important to you as a 7th grader, I was somewhat surprised to learn that you also needed a $50 pair of white Crocs to wear to school as well.

I did not realize they are so fashionable these days.

When you came home from shopping for your new Crocs with Mommy, you proudly showed me the “shoe charms” you picked out to decorate your new shows with:

Elmo and Cookie Monster from Sesame Street!

That immediately served as a flashback for me, as you used to have little stuffed animals of those two characters when you were really young.

So it’s interesting to see them both rebooted for the nearly teenager version of the same kid!
